Thanks very much for choosing to make a donation to the Herculaneum Society. Click the button below and you will be taken to a secure online payment form at PayPal. You can pay through your PayPal account, or with a credit or debit card. On the same page you can specify, if you wish, which of our projects you would like to support.

Ongoing payments by Direct Debit help the Society achieve its charitable aims with even more confidence. Please consider setting up a Direct Debit by choosing 'make this a monthly donation' on the website.

You can also make a donation - either one-off, or recurrent -  through the Charities Aid Foundation, with a credit / debit card or your CAF account. Please click on this button:

If you are a UK resident and taxpayer please consider adding Gift-Aid to your donation. If you choose to Gift-Aid your donation, you are increasing the value of your donation by 25%.[1] To add Gift Aid, simply fill in this form then e-mail it or send it to the Society (c/o The Ioannou Centre for Classical and Byzantine Studies, 66 St. Giles, Oxford OX1 3LU; herculaneum@classics.oxford.ac.uk). You can also add Gift Aid through CAF (but they will charge the Society for the service, so we'd prefer it if you used our form).

Any contribution of £250 or more automatically makes you a Benefactor of the Society, which will entitle you to an invitation to an exclusive annual event.

US taxpayers can donate through the British Schools and Universities Foundation. Checks in US dollars should be made out to 'British Schools and Universities Foundation, Inc' with a notation that your preferred donation is The Herculaneum Society. They will pass it on to us. For full information see https://www.bsuf.org/.

[1] Gift Aid contributions are regarded as having had the basic tax rate of 20% deducted by the donor. Charities take your donation and reclaim the basic rate tax from HMRC. For example, if you Gift Aid a donation of £10, the Charity will receive £12.50. More information is available from http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/individuals/giving/gift-aid.htm.
