The Herculaneum Society holds the names, email and postal addresses and telephone numbers of the Friends, as provided by the members themselves. It stores this data on a secure server within the University of Oxford’s computing network. We use this data for the sole purpose of communicating with members about Society activities, news and other matters pertinent to our charitable aims. We do not provide this information to third parties without the member’s explicit consent, and only in support of our own charitable aims. We retain this information for as long as the individual is a member of the Society. Upon departure a member may request at any time that the data be removed; otherwise we will retain it for no more than 12 months, in case further communication is needed.
