We reported in our December E-bulletin  that the Vesuvius Challenge team had made another breakthrough, this time with a scroll from the Bodleian Library in Oxford. At least one piece of good news amid the dreadful tragedy of the Los Angeles fires: due to far-sighted preventative measures, the flames have not reached the Getty Villa and its priceless collection of Greek and Roman antiquities in Pacific Palisades. See the LA Times articles here . [10/01/2025]
