Prof. Pedar Foss,\u00a0De Pauw University:\u00a0“Ashy Tuesday-Wednesday: The date and sequence of the AD 79 Vesuvian eruption.\u201d Prof. Foss is author of the forthcoming\u00a0Pliny and the Eruption of Vesuvius\u00a0<\/i>(Routledge 2022), co-editor, with John J. Dobbins, of The World of Pompeii<\/i>\u00a0(Routledge 2007).<\/p>\n
Prof. Roy Gibson, Durham University:\u00a0“From Como to the bay of Naples: Pliny’s epistolary Italy.”. Prof. Gibson\u00a0is author of\u00a0Man of High Empire: The Life of Pliny the Younger\u00a0<\/i>(OUP 2020) and is preparing an edition of Pliny’s\u00a0Letters\u00a0<\/i>book 6 for the Cambridge “Green and Yellow” series.<\/p>\n
